As some of the UK’s best musicians and choristers perform in different spaces, audiences are also invited to explore and create their own musical journeys, stopping and taking in the incredible sights and sounds around some of our beautiful cathedrals. The music is meditative, calm and enveloping—from orchestral music by present-day composers who explore the mystic through their music, such as Arvo Pärt and Dobrinka Tabakova, to ancient melodies for choirs that have resounded in our cathedrals across centuries.

The Fruit of Silence Cathedrals Tour is presented in partnership with Friends of Cathedral Music and is supported by the John Ellerman Foundation and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Centuries of Meditations (Dobrinka Tabakova) is championed by Resonate, a PRS Foundation initiative in partnership with Association of British Orchestras, BBC Radio 3 and Boltini Trust.
