One of our favourite participation projects with Early Years is our Lullaby Concert Series, organised in collaboration with Orchestras Live. Consisting of orchestral performances and related workshops in community venues, this project provides an accessible and interactive way of introducing young children to classical music in some of the most rural and isolated parts of England.

This year, children aged 2-7 (along with their parents and carers) can rocket into space with presenter Claire Henry and City of London Sinfonia as they take music up to the space station in our Mission to Launch concerts. As ever, there will be plenty of audience participation and the chance to have a go on some orchestral instruments after the concert – all with a relaxed atmosphere.

Workshops and performances will take place in Clacton-on-Sea, Haverhill, Newmarket, Rayleigh, Lowestoft and Stowmarket.

Last year’s Lullaby Concerts won Best Family Event in the Family Arts Festival Awards, so we are looking forward to another year – our ninth series – of unmissable events!
