Originally planned as a concert for a live audience, we were fortunate to still be able to record this programme behind closed doors during the November lockdown. We're very happy to start our New Year by sharing this much anticipated recording with a wider audience online.

Our new film features music that has been handpicked by our wind principals, including Quentin Poole's arrangement of Mozart's Sonata in F for nine wind instruments and Richard Strauss' Suite for Winds, chosen by Principal Oboe Dan Bates - a self-confessed Strauss fanatic. You can also look forward to wind quintets by Amy Beach and Cecilia McDowall, and introductions by Dan Bates, Ursula Leveaux (Principal Bassoon) and Stephen Stirling (Principal Horn).

This recording will be streamed for free on our Facebook and YouTube channels from 7pm GMT on Wednesday 13 January and available to watch until 12 February. Follow and subscribe to receive notifications about the streams.

Films produced by Alex Barnes, Apple and Biscuit Recordings.
