Our stellar musicians perform a programme bringing together two of the greatest child prodigies who ever lived: Mozart and Mendelssohn.

After the evergreen overture that Mendelssohn wrote inspired by a trip to Scotland, Ben Goldscheider (recent finalist in BBC Young Musician of the Year) is the soloist in Mozart’s effervescent Fourth Horn Concerto. The Festival finale, held at Dorchester Abbey, culminates in a performance of another holiday-inspired work by Mendelssohn – the joyous symphony named after his travels in Italy.
