Founded in 1996, Opera Holland Park is a company with a unique voice and footprint. A short stroll from Kensington High Street, in the heart of one of the most peaceful parks of London, our canopy theatre is surrounded by lawns, woodland and formal gardens, and combines the best of urban and country house opera experiences. The ruins of Sir Walter Cope’s 1605 mansion, Holland House, provide the backdrop to our summer festival in a place that Time Out magazine dubbed “London’s most informally sophisticated venue”.

Opera Holland Park believes that everyone should have access to the finest live musical and theatrical performances, regardless of age, income or education. Our seasons typically balance fresh and insightful productions of established masterpieces with rarities by Catalani, Cilea, Giordano, Mascagni, Montemezzi, Wolf-Ferrari and Zandonai. An independent charity since 2015, with generous sponsorship from Investec Wealth and Investment since 2011, and on-going financial and hands-on support from individual donors, our mission is to break down the traditional barriers to experiencing opera.

There are six main bus routes that pass the Earls Court entrance to the park on Kensington High Street: Routes 9, 10, 27, 28, 49 and C1.
