St Christopher’s Hospice Creative Projects
St Christopher’s hospice provides care and support for over 6,000 people across South East London every year.
Using the CLS concert programme to stimulate creative ideas, patients from St Christopher’s create music, poetry and performance which responds to their interests and artistic ambitions building on their confidence and sense of self. Sessions are facilitated by highly experienced animateur Sam Glazer and CLS musicians who bring musical support and their own creative contributions.
This is what our participants say:
I enjoyed it all. We got to be imaginative. We've been encouraged to join in, we had time to reflect and time to listen to others. And the opportunity to be a star [laughing].
… I’m taking away the fact that we can do these things. I have never sung before I started Sinfonia [project], and this was the third time I've done it.
