Comfortable Classical

Comfortable Classical is a relaxed concert series programmed and presented by CLS musicians in partnership with The Albany, Deptford. The concerts have an informal, cosy feel with audience members sitting back on our big cushions, taking some time out or sometimes getting on their feet for a dance! Everyone is welcome at Comfortable Classical, from the youngest to the oldest members of the community and including first time concert goers to regular listeners. Each concert is different, showcasing instruments from the orchestra and music that the musicians love to play. This might include classical chamber music, folk tunes or new arrangements to suit the instruments in the ensemble. The audience is encouraged to move around the space, dance, relax on the cushions, and draw along to the music, whatever makes them feel comfortable. After the concert there is always time to chat with musicians and reflect on the music that has been played.
