No Nights Dark Enough: A Playlist

We’re so excited to be performing at Spitalfields Music Summer Festival this Tuesday for No Nights Dark Enough.  In a programme inspired by darkness and melancholy, the concert – set in the atmospheric surroundings of Village Underground – will feature songs by John Dowland (including Flow my Tears), several works by Thomas Adès and Arvo Pärt as well as the world premiere of Icelandic musician, Valgeir Sigurðsson‘s new work, No Nights Dark Enough. In order to get you guys in the mood before the concert, we’ve compiled the most dark and melancholy playlist we could think of. Featuring some of the music performed on the night along with some other gloomy and wistful nuggets, we’d recommend you grab those tissues…
