With presenters including Ólafur Arnalds, Hania Rani, and now Erland Cooper, Radio 3 Unwind’s series Ultimate Calm has been taking listeners on immersive and reflective journeys through classical and ambient music since it launched in 2022. This late-night Prom will include the UK premiere of music by Cooper, originally from the Orkney Islands and whose work explores the themes of nature and landscape, along with intimate string ensemble City of London Sinfonia and an array of special-guest artists. Atmospheric soundscapes and soothing electronic elements will be intertwined to create a uniquely serene and escapist concert for the night hours.
