As City of London Sinfonia’s (CLS) reputation for immersive and imaginative audience experiences continues to grow, we are recruiting for a Development Manager (Individuals) – a new role focusing on developing the Orchestra’s relationships with individual donors and commercial bespoke-event clients in this exciting time for the Orchestra.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Development Manager (Individuals) will play a vital role in growing CLS's recent artistic success, which has in turn grown audiences and increased fundraising capability. Currently, we are beginning to grow our individual donor base, in part through a series of creative and engaging events for our family of supporters, based on the themes in our distinctive artistic programme. You will cultivate a warm supporter base of individuals, including a growing number of high-level donors (£5,000–10,000 and above), enthusing them to CLS's charitable vision; building the entry-level friends scheme as a pipeline for future high-level giving, and curating distinctive and engaging exclusive events for a growing family of supporters based on CLS's artistic programme and corporate partners.
This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, paying c.£35,000 per annum. CLS’s office is based in Bermondsey and gives the option of flexible working.
We are looking for an engaging individual who thrives on building one-on-one relationships, stewarding existing donors, curating and producing high-level, distinctive events, and working very closely with a collegial, mutually respectful team in which everyone is encouraged contribute to a collective vision. An in-depth musical knowledge and experience of classical music is not a requirement, but a passion for music in innovative, participatory and socially beneficial models is a must.
