For over 30 years, CLS musicians have been bringing their unique practice of responsive playing to young people receiving treatment for acute and chronic conditions in hospital.
Each year, our players and lead artists deliver workshops developed in collaboration with staff at partner hospitals to provide meaningful musical experiences that respond to the individual needs of young patients in sensitive settings.
Activities are held one-on-one and in small groups and have also been adapted for remote learning. In these sessions, young people play musical instruments, experiment with music technology, compose music, and integrate music into storytelling and visual art.
